Shannon Moore

My name is Shannon Moore. My husband and I established our home on 5 acres in east Norman in 1997 where we raised our four children. They have blessed us with 10 grandchildren who enjoy exploring the property where their parents once did as a child. My favorite color is purple and I love coffee and country living!

I am a life-long learner and have a firm belief that you are NEVER too old to learn something new! In my classroom, students and teachers learn from each other! I want to share my passion of learning with the children of our community.

My background consists of public school and homeschooling. When my children were very young, I had an in-home daycare where I focused on preschool skills. During my daughter's Junior and Senior year of high-school, I supervised her homeschooling journey. In 2006, I began working as a teacher assistant in my children's elementary school. That is where I fell DEEPLY IN LOVE with teaching and working with children with disabilities. In 2013, I went back to college at the University of Oklahoma to get my bachelor's degree in Special Education. I currently hold a teaching certification for Special Education-mild/moderate and Elementary Education. In the 2019-2020 school year, I was named Teacher of the Year for my school.

I created SPARK Learning with a vision of providing an authentic environment where children have access to an individualized education plan that is paced by the child's needs. Our greatest desire is to see the joy of learning SPARKed in each child so he/she can become lifelong learners through curiosity, creativity, and personal pursuits.
